Nice. I found my first-ever in-the-wild radar note (2009 $10 bill as I recall. I've had it on eBay for a couple months, asking the whopping sum of $24. Many Looks, but no nibbles.
Super cool!! Carries a premium over face, but they are always easier to sell in a TPG holder. Keep it for sure, but if you want to sell it, list in on eBay starting at $0.99 for 10days with $3 shipping and hope for the best.
If you choose to get it graded, send it to PMG----as they will give it the RADAR SERIAL designation. Last time I checked, PCGSC does not. Check the population numbers on this particular bill. If really common, like mine, grading makes little sense. You'd need to find a $50 buyer to break even.
I never understood 2 things about these particular serials. #1 why do people collect these? They really arent (to me anyway) fancy serials. #2 wouldnt a TRUE radar be more like- 98766789? ya know, higher #s on the ends and lower in the middle ?
Special or unusual serial numbers always in high demand especially in high grade as this note appears to be if uncirculated the margins look really good to me would say 67 or 68 both good numbers
Here's a fancy serial! I'll pay extra shekels to get one. Been lookin' for a long time. 12281960 or 19601228
a radar note is just like an actual radar. bounces forward...then bounces back. the numbers themselves don't matter.
I assume this is your b-day? or someone you know? I was SUPER lucky enough to find mine. not the ACTUAL day of my birth...but a day I had a b-day on. 12262007 turned 29. looks like we both got the short end of the stick having b-days so close to xmas.
