    Great find, @Roman Collector! An extremely attractive coin all round.

    This thread has shown me that my collection suffers from a distinct lack of handshakes. (Just the Plautilla that we've seen a few times already.)

    Wow, that's a whole lotta handshakin' goin' on, guys :). I'll offer a Balbinus example of the most ironic handshake in Roman history. Anyone have the matching Pupienus?

    Great OP coin, @Roman Collector! Did that come from this weekend's Roma auction? I considered bidding on it, but decided to quit while I was ahead. The online auction gods decreed that I would get blown out on the coin I really wanted (5x estimate... seriously!?), and I also lost a bulk lot of 5 Antoninius Pius denarii. I wasn't too disappointed about the bulk lot, but I wish I had a shot at my original target.

    Yep, got it from Roma. The other Faustina I coins were too pricey, I thought. Sorry you lost out on the coin you wanted. 5x the estimate? Holy moly!
