Another auction pickup. I really wanted the one that was selling for AU, but it was more than double the price. I’m quite happy with owning this so I can show it off. The graders were perhaps a tad gentle on this one, but that suits me just fine. Share your own Kopeks!

Nice examples! I briefly owned a 5 Kopek but sold it.

I really like these. Russian Empire coins are something I adore but hard to come by.

Nice one! Here's mine. It's in a standard sized NGC holder- barely fits- the slab bulges a little! I like the color on yours. @ddddd 's example looks nice, too.

This is a type set of the Siberian coins that I completed with the acquistion of the PITA polushka ca. 2000. The Siberian coins were a bit smaller than the regular Russian coins because the mint in Kolyvan didn't have sophisticated refining equipment to remove the trace amounts of silver from the bronze(allegedly!)

Curiously the larger denominations of 5 kopek and 10 kopek are usually easier to collect - perhaps because the smaller coins were lost over time. I heard a story years ago that a Siberian coin was excavated at Ft. Ross in California.

Here's my pair. No great shakes condition wise but relatively inexpensive as a result.
