I hope someone can help me with this quarter it looks like scratches but they are in straight lines I think I can see numbers too but not sure
seems to have been stamped. pictures are not bad, maybe try shining the light somewhere else because its covering the area.
Sorry, but it got hit with something after it left the mint. I think the Official CT technical term is "dings", not scratches
Allright what about the faint letters or numbers inside the L and the photo after that it looks like a 5 and that's right after liberty
You are reading to much into the inspection. The ridges are from another coin. They are called bag marks. New examples, are a strong reference to what the coin looks like in mint state. Your coin has seen some circulation. It isn't an error. The first key to error collecting is to know what they are and how a coin was struck.
