I need some help from the experts on this one. For the most part I can identify typical MD and die deterioration doubling from a true doubled die but this one I'm not sure, I notice it mostly on the E Pluribus Unum, the United and OF on the reverse but I also see some spread on the INWT on obverse?. I wish I could understand all of it but I don't
All I see is a little die deterioration (not even doubling for the most part) and some grease filling the die in the (Sta) of States.
From those images I see no die doubling. It would have been better if you had provided better close-ups of the suspected doubling, AND, in the first place, if you suspected doubling you go to Wexler or VV to verify and find a match. All I see is a regular cent with flattening (wear) of the tops of most of the design on both sides. Did you weigh it? Is it CPZ? A normal coin would be copper plated zinc. A fair grade would be AU55RB, currently worth about 2 cents.
So even though the U in Untited looks doubled and so does E plurubus unum I apparently am seeing things? Guess so.
Eric ... Yes there are some small anomalies there but no real doubling that counts. Just check out this article, as well as those listed on the left and bottom of the page: https://doubleddie.com/144801.html
