Didn't get a photo, but $4.32 in various US coins at a coinstar at a local grocery this past weekend. So,I took that money and bought a two nice Hot Wheels models at the same store for $1 each (plus tax). I like free Hot Wheels. :)

I had a good score from the Coinstar of the local Food4Less today:

I usually find nothing from this location but today there were numerous people huddled in front of it as they were focused on having a key duplicated from the key machine that was next to it. Their presence didn't stop me from checking the Coinstar and swiftly gathering the treasure.

There are coins from Canada, Chile, Peru, and Mexico, as well as a 1953-S silver dime. I suspect that the Canadian dollar circulated in Chile as it is of a similar shape and composition as the Chilean 50 pesos coins.

Overall, it's a pretty good and diverse find today!

It was a great blessing to find $2.75 today in a CoinStar machine. :)

My machines used to get "jammed" up and there were often nice little piles in the reject slot. They have "fixed" that, so it only happens once in a blue moon now.

Found all of these in a coin star at the grocery store yesterday. The quarter in the upper left is a 1954. Next to it is a Bahamian 25¢. The rest is normal pocket change. I can never figure out why people leave money in those things but I'm good with it.

Oh darn. Thought I had it.
Keep your eyes on the floor when at the casino. You never know when some poor soul will drop something. :woot:
I like Video poker BTW. :p

If you read the signs in the casino... anything that falls on the floor is property of the casino.
You get in trouble if you pick up something off the floor.
Video poker is another one that I play now and then.
My old boss liked to play video poker, she would constantly get a Royal Flush on dollars.
She played Double Double Bonus Poker, she said that was the best odds machine.
She got 4 ACES with the kicker for $2,000 or a Royal Flush for $4,000 weekly.
She never wanted to go get her Profit and Loss statement for her tax person to be able to write off her taxable income :wideyed::rolleyes:
She always said that she didn't want to know how much money she was gambling. o_O
We all knew it was really she didn't want her husband to know how much money she was gambling.:p
Truth be told they are both millionaires, so who's to tell her how to spend it :p

    UPDATE :wideyed:
The disk in question is Diamagnetic...acts like silver when manipulating with a neodymium magnet.
    IMG_20250914_082653042_HDR.jpg
Silver coins that are slightly larger than a US dime and have no reeded edge are most likely Spanish Colonial-era cobs or an unusual mint error.
In other news, I have no idea what it is :p

    What's it weigh?

Which of the two in your first photo (the whitish one with the coppery areas or the one with white gunk) are you testing here?

No home should be without one - but until they're common, it's probably overkill for this particular find.
