    Hi,
I am really stumped on this one.

Below are pictures of my 1839 Coronet large cent, but I can't figure out if it's a) Coronet Head of 1838, b) Silly Head, c) Booby Head or d) 9/6.

Here is what I have been able discern (as far as I can tell)...

    1) The shoulder tip does not extend beyond the back of the head/hair.
    2) The "T" in "Liberty" clearly does not come in contact with the hair.
    3) There doesn't appear to be a line under CENT on the reverse, but under super high magnification and if I squint a little I might be able to convince myself that there is a wisp of a line there although it's not as long as I would expect.
    4) The last digit of the date is a 9 but if I squint a little, I might convince myself that it's an extremely worn 9/6.
    5) Because of the wear, I don't see any design on the rim.
    6) Because of the wear, I don't see any beaded cords, but only some places where they may have been but even then, it doesn't look right to me.

Would anyone hazard a guess as to what this is?

    Many thanks!!!!
