Why do people assume anything they see is automatically an error? Find out first what it could be then say it is an error.. Only if it is! Your Cent has no error. That is not a D
One of the great things about a forum is to learn from others experiences. If you don't know ask how will you learn. Not being as gifted in spotting things of no value as some are apparently. I didn't say it was an error I just ask for advice not for someone to throw insults at people just trying to learn. Thanks
The first mistake you made is that you asked us, "Am I crazy?" So, what do you expect from a bunch of nut cases? Don't be too hard on @paddyman98 . He's our resident error collecting guru and he answers questions like yours practically every day. Chris
First, welcome to CT. Second, this is normal behavior for us. As a new member one of the first things you'll learn is, if you look at anything on any coin long and hard enough, you can see whatever you want. Again, welcome and enjoy.
@Comfortably Numb There is something called a dropped element error. I wanted to share this webpage with you - http://www.error-ref.com/struck-through_dropped_filling/ Your Cent does not have the characteristics of the error I have introduced you to. Peace.
Unusual Wheat error Discussion in 'Error Coins' started by Comfortably Numb, Today at 8:34 AM. Do you understand, now, what @paddyman98 was saying? If you do, I'd think it's someone else's turn to be big and apologize.
Thank you all for responses. Paddy I had seen something similar to that before and I guess that is why I ask when I saw this and another coin with some interesting marks. I posted another coin with a similar type of letter and got about the same responses so I guess I was on edge already. I say sorry also
