I've also found a Marcus Aurelius sestertius but Celtic is still on my wishlist. However, I do enjoy finding interesting artifacts like this rare commemorative thimble which was issued to commemorate the christening of Queen Victoria's eldest daughter, also named Victoria at Buckingham Palace. The inscription reads: Queen Victoria Born May 24 1819 Ascended the throne June 20 1837 Crowned June 28 1838 Married PE Albert Feb 10 1840 The Princess Royal born Novr 21 1840 Christened at Buckingham Palace Feby 10 1841. That was exactly what I said when I saw it. Unfortunately I don't have a photo of the reverse. It was found at Eastwood Manor Farm. The quality of the bust is amazing.

Thanks to all for your kind comments. Lovely coin panzerman and one that I have never seen or ever likely to see in the flesh. But never say never because you don't know what the next detector beep might bring to light.

    Right on!

On "youtube" I saw them find 13 Nobles from Edward III. But one wonders if its real or just for show;)
I like the guy who found a MS Allectus aureus. It ended up in auctiom. I....would have kept it for my collection.
Here in Canada sadly we have not had the rich history. But I did find a EF Canada 1900-H Large Cent.
