It was sad but these all went to new homes. It was time to let them go but I was happy to have owned them for 30 to 40 years.
Love those proofs! I sent my complete IHC registry set (#7 at NGC, No Respect, No Respect At All) to Great Collections. The coins should start getting listed shortly. Part of me is sad to let the set go. It was fun putting it together and updating it. My son isn't interested in it and I turn 70 in a couple of months. I decided that now is the time to part with it.
I found a 1880 IHC today looking through pennies. Sadly, it doesn't look 10% as good as yours. I'm cringing at the thought of unloading my stuff when the time comes.
Not to hijack the post or anything, but if any regulars are interested in selling at any point and if I have the available funds, I might be game to buy them provided we come to an amicable agreement. I can't compete with the auction sites but I can promise that I wouldn't sell any coins I might acquire through here, and that I would absolutely appreciate them as much if not more than you have. Take this for what it's worth because I definitely have "budget restrictions" in terms of high-grade coins, but if you'd prefer someone you may have conversed with and know is a true collector-at-heart over the highest bidder, I might be your man! If not, I'll completely understand with no love lost.
Love them , I finally bought a decent Eagle Eye coin from Snow . I got it on Heritage and the beautiful colors only show up on certain angles and didn’t look like the picture on Heritage . I would have bought a couple of yours first . Sorry you had to get rid them . Great eye Idhair
