    It's you. :D
Guess you set your forum prefs to not display signatures; in that case you won't see them. Here is the link that De Orc has in his sig: http://www.banknotebank.com/?collection=De-Orc

Soon all currencies will be in polymer. They last 3 times longer than paper ones in circulation.

What is quite strange is that some of them try to incorperate watermarkes or even security threads that are just lines on the plastic LOL I assume that this is to make the note closer to what people are use to :smile

I use polymer notes daily here in Australia. If you don't mind circulated notes, I am more happy to send it over at face value. :) (although I guess UNC notes would be VERY nice)

Don't collect paper money myself (heck, what am I doing in this particular forum? :D ), but I came across this catalog some time ago:

    http://www.swschwedt.de/kunden/polymernotes/files/kb_demo.zip
    (PDF, 10 MB or so)

That is not the current issue, just a limited demo version of the 2005 edition. The catalog is in English (not perfect English methinks but understandable); the website is here: http://www.polymernotes.de/

By the way, that site also has a link to a little movie, in French, about the concept and the production of polymer notes. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ere1orNZmk0 Donc si vous parlez ou comprenez français ...

  17. De Orc,
I am fairly new in (polymer) banknote collecting. So would say the book I have is very informative especially for a newbie.
Here is a sample page inside, showing one of the three polymer notes I have. This book is the softcover. Would have prefered the hardcover.

Yep thats the sort of thing that I want so I can carry it around easily, if it is like the QEII book it will have a check list in the back :D I am waiting on my Bangladesh note to arrive :D What are the other two that you have?

  19. The other notes I have are Australian $5 and a Nigeria 20 naira, unfortunately has been folded and was the very first on I received which lead me polymer collecting.

Is this what you mean? Maybe you can answer a question for me. I see some of the notes have a light green colored box I don't know what this mean. Can you help?
