    the reverse looks ms, so id say this is butchered PMD

    Do you mean the OP coin? It'd have to be 001 based upon what is somewhat clear, but there's something that doesn't sit right. Of course poor photos will do that.

    well my brother and I like collecting coins, he is more into error coins, I like US coins.
    But I have always wanted to own a double die coin, so I am currently looking for one.

    I wish I had taken @BooksB4Coins's advice about investing in myself before investing in coins. Wasn't on CT when I spent a good amount I had saved up for retirement "investing." I probably did OK, but could have done much better. You're at the opposite end of the coin-purchasing age spectrum. A little more patience and your continuing to ask the right questions in the right places will serve you well.

    Stick to coins certified by one of the major services, which are ANACS, NGC, and PCGS. That's particularly true when you're buying coins that are often faked. Many years ago, I made myself the rule to have coins certified for which I paid $50 or more. I don't regret making the rule.
