I consider all 1921's as VAM 1. I don't even bother to look, not worth the hassle.:D

I think there's over 500 different VAMs for 1921, so yeah..... your words speak truth. I tried for a VAM on one of my 1921 Morgans and soon gave up. Was probably gonna be hours searching for it.

I originally tried to buy it on eBay but it was already sold when I hit the BIN button. I happened to have lucked out and knew the buyer from Instagram.

Well, I'm glad this is titled, "Let's see your newest acquisition". That way it leaves the door open for more than just a coin. I've not researched this. I'm assuming (yes, I know that's dangerous) it was made for a Centennial Celebration in Natchez MS, since it's value expired at 12 noon on August 23, 1961. I love visiting Natchez. I love history, so it fits right in for me. Over 600 buildings, in and around Natchez that date before the Civil War. Anyway, the point of this post. Anybody live around Natchez, or originally from that area, or collect this type of "coin"? The reason, I ask, send me your info and I'll mail it to you. I picked it out of the junk bin. Paid less than $100.00 for it (actually $99.50 less, lol). I got it intending to pass on to someone else, I just haven't found that someone, yet. Please help me out. I've got too much money invested (wink, wink) to keep it "hidden". Blessings, Kenneth

Nice historical piece Ken! Unfortunately, there are mostly Union items found and displayed here up north. It would be great to find something and treasure it forever.

Well she arrived today. Hopefully I didn't post this in another thread. 1893O, it looks AU something. Sellers photo, web photos dont depict it well. Doesn't look cleaned in hand, just has a small amount of wear on the high points. It weighs correct, looks legit. Off to PCGS she goes with a batch next week. If it straight grades, I've pulled another coup out of my caboose, way way under list pricing.

Nice "Maine" reference on that token. I have been looking for a long time for another version of this "Remember the Maine" theme, a so called dollar:

    Other versions exist as well:

and a PCGS coinfacts image of another (same as your token):

Like I said, I have been looking a long time for a high grade (and graded) example...
