LordM Giveaway #129 (pick your prize) Contest status: OPEN Drawing: pending; on or after 1 October 2025 Winner: pending Shipping status: pending Winner's receipt: pending Hello, everyone, and welcome to the latest giveaway. This will be another one of my "pick your prize" contests, so you can hopefully win something you'll like. To enter: 1. Go view my Giveaway Gallery. 2. Post an entry here, stating which prize you would prefer. 3. State why you chose what you did. NOTE: That last bit is important. To qualify, you have to not only pick a prize, but also say WHY you picked it. Just a few words will do. However, if you are entering on someone else's behalf, you are not required to pick a prize or say why. Your designated proxy will get to pick their choice later, if your entry wins for them. Your prize choice need not be final. I do periodically add new prizes to the Giveaway Gallery, so if you win the drawing, you'll be given a chance to change your mind at the end, if you see a new prize you like more. I just enjoy reading everyone's initial selections up front, since it gives me an idea of what folks like. Click the pic below to go to the prize gallery. The drawing will be done via random number generator sometime on or after the date mentioned at the top of this post. The timing will depend on my schedule. You may consider the contest open for entries until such time as I have posted the final result of the drawing. Totally free: the contest is free of charge, open to everyone, with free worldwide shipping. The only further requirement is that if you win... Please post a receipt in this thread after you get the prize, so we'll know you got it (that helps me keep track). Good luck! Numismatic regards, ~Robertson ("Rob") Shinnick ("LordM") ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ LordM Giveaway archive This contest is brought to you by Gilligan.
Since I posted this new giveaway (#129) before the drawing on the old one, for the next few hours you've still got a chance for last minute entries to the old one (#128) before I do the drawing on that. So enter here for #129, and if you haven't already, get your entry in for #128.
I'm in for the 2023 silver Britannia. It'd be my first one of those and I always love an ounce of silver - especially when it's free!
Thank you, Paul. My little guy is getting bigger, much faster than I'd like. I think it's time, should this entry be selected, to allow him to review @lordmarcovan's offerings, and select his own prize. I think that would be fun. Thanks again, Paul, and as always, Rob, for your generosity.
I'm a sucker for the strange and unusual, so I would have to say the bele from India (India (Vijayanagara Empire): ca. 1336-1646 gold bele).
Thank you, Lord Marcorvan. I'm still trying for the Crusader States 1163-1201 AD silver denier of Bohemond III of Antioch. I have nothing like it in my ancients, a just think it is really neat.
Entry Post My 7070 is missing the Coronet Braided Hair Large Cent. Therefore, I'd like this entry for the 1841 Braided Hair Large Cent, if this post is lucky enough to be selected. Thanks @lordmarcovan for your neverending philanthropy. You never cease to amaze me. Happy Labor Day, my friend.
Hey! Thanks for the great contest, again!! I also like the error cent. Nice Incomplete planchet error.
Once again, should I win I'll pass my good fortune to @expat . Rob, you are truly a very generous and good person. Thanks for all you do for us here.
Thankyou @tibor for your generosity. And to you @lordmarcovan for your neverending efforts on behalf of us all here.
Please count me in for the India gold bele coin. It's so small yet so intriguing, and I like to collect small coins so that fits right in! It would be interesting to see any details on it with my scope, too. I bet it would be pretty easy to get a whole-coin shot of that one!
You're the best @lordmarcovan, and some great new additions to the gallery. I'll try the clipped planchet this time, I think they are interesting. I received this coin from a bid on ebay, but as you can see from my picture (second one), it's going back. Guess my camera spots spots.
Been a few months, but I'm still holding out hope for winning that roman bracelet from Time Machine. Please consider this my entry post if it is still available this month.
