As common as this date and mm is, it's actually my first example I have bought, the eye appeal to me was to much to pass up. I picked it up today at one of the local shops. Let's see if you can guess the grade on it.
I hate going first... 65DMPL, though I'm probably wrong. Anna's cheek is a bit rough, but that's acceptable for 65 I think. Or maybe I'm just too harsh...
Looks like a 64 pl/DMPL. Might be a 65 in NGC though. I think it may have got the dmpl but it's tuff to tell. Nice coin.
I wanna say 65 real bad but i think the marks in front/behind her head will hold her back. So........ 64PL would be my guess as well
Nice! I still need an '82-S PL to finish my PL San Fran short set. PL '82's are not nearly as common as '79 thru '81. I'll take a stab at 64PL as the minimum.
I can see this one making 65 pretty easily, pretty much discounting all the "black" areas on the cheek. The surfaces sure seem to make the PL level at least, but of course no accurate estimate can be made.
1882 S Morgan are always pretty nice strike. This looks like MS65 PL or just 65. Pretty nice looking coin.
MS62 and incorrectly cleaned. I would say the breast feathers are not highly detailed like an MS65 and there are fine scratches on the mirrored fields..... yeah? Still a very nice coin.
Question here? Does those marks on her face..... caused by the mint...and does it takes away the from the value, it seems a lot of the Morgans have marking on the face.. guess money wise 120.00 idk
