So..... I finaly bought a CAC certified coin (slab as opposed to stickered) In this case as a money "saver" (maybe lol) as the few other recently availble coins in similar grades were selling for at least $100 more then this coin in similar grades. None however were quite as spectatular as this one. You see since I bought this for one of my NGC registy sets, at this time they are yet to accept CAC graded slabs. So in it goes with my already delayed NGC package (still waiting on the last coin but now this one too lol). I'm even hoping it might come back with a higher grade then it's wearing now and $100 price difference more then covers the change over Weeee!! Here she is my Newest pretty for your guessing pleasure
When the dust settles after you do your reveal, I'd like to piggyback off your post for a new GTG, same year, same mint. I posted it a while back but I still am waiting to send another batch into PCGS because I'm waiting on another coin to arrive to do a submission. Nice coin you have there, no matter what the plastic says!
Even True Views don't capture the essence of a PL or DMPL coin, and that's a professional photographer that does nothing but coins.
A little early but it'll give @Barney McRae a chance to post his at a reasonable hour I was pretty sure that she would get a 62 or even a 63 but you guys got my hopes up lol
Cacg is tough, huh? Lol! I'm really curious about my remaining package to get graded by them and how hard they're gonna knock me down a peg (or two) in my grade assumptions. That's still a great looking coin youve good there though!
It looks a lot less baggy than a 61. I guess that mark on the cheek knocked it down a couple of notches?
Mine hasn't even been sent out to PCGS yet. I'll post sellers pics tomorrow, I just can't take a decent picture.
MS 62 PL was my guess before the reveal. CAC can be quite conservative and it looks to have some contact marks but not bad enough to be a 61 (unless the photo makes the hits less clear than an in hand look).
