    Here's one of his most famous designs not as nice as his original but I like it, Thomas Wyon was a true Master, maybe even before his time! thumbupp.gif

    Coins engraved by Wyon are among the most beautiful ever designed. Below is a picture of the proof 1847 Gothic crown (PCGS PR62+CAM). The design was not used for circulating crowns but was used for years for circulating florins. Crown = 5 shillings = 60 pence; florin = 2 shillings = 24 pence. On the reverse, the triple lions represent the United Kingdom, the lion in the shield and Tudor roses represent England, the harp and shamrock represent Ireland, the thistle flower represents Scotland.
