I ran out of options on the poll but if you think there was a plus designation, please say so in the comments.
MS62 - beautiful example of the '21 high relief. Edit: why? Well, to me it looks like the fields are pretty pristine. The devices do have some minimal friction marks (cheek, nose, and of course highest relief: the hair). Looking at the reverse, the toning might hide some contact marks, but otherwise the rays are pretty clean and unbroken - usually the first victim on the reverse on Peace dollars. The eagle too has some very minimal wear on the highest points, but that's impossible to avoid for this series. I'm certainly not an expert, but wanted to add a little depth to my answer since most folks are leaning toward AU.
can't really tell from the pics if the "rub" on the obverse is just lack of patina or outright rub.. so had to go with AU58
Yeah, this one is thick with patina so it's pretty tough. Album toned, according to the LCS owner, who acquired them from some old lady. And I've got a tone-matching Stone Mountain half to go along with it!
You have AU 58 twice on the poll, so that must be the answer. In reality that was my guess even before seeing it twice-to me it looks like there is some wear and CAC tends to not give the benefit to sliders.
Ha! So I did have room for the plus!? I'm gonna change that so thanks for the heads up on my goof lol! Edit: meh... can't edit that part
Is it me or is she just a bit too tan? I wonder if she would clean up much or just peel w/o Aloe lotion?
I could do '58 but I suspect CAC might have gone higher. There's a lot of color on that coin and without it in hand I suspect they might of assigned it a '64.
I have to say that the majority of votes definitely got the number right... but nobody actually got the true grade correct! I was kinda shocked to see it myself, too, but it got AU-58+! Apparently, that's a rather high bar to reach with cacg because this is now a population 2 coin. Hopefully whoever has the other one isn't too upset that I've bumped their pop 1 coin down into the lowly pop 2 category! Thanks for all the votes on this one and I might be putting up another GTG in the near future. I'm also curious if cacg has some database of pictures available to the public (similar to pcgs images) for coins they've graded / stickered. I'm wondering how that other 58+ looks!
