1984 d Lincoln Cent

  1. Hello everyone. I came across this penny and it has a long cud, maybe? Can you please tell me what you think and if it's worth anything? Thank you, I appreciate you.

    Kim, that's not a rim cud. As the description implies, a rim cud is located on the rim.

    It does appear to be a die crack though. A pretty wide crack too. Can you determine if the area in question is raised, or incused?

    If raised, I'd say it's a die crack.

    It's called a Linear Plating Blister.
