Hello all! I am new to the forum, and just wanted your thoughts on whether or not this is a small date. I started collecting Lincoln cents with my grandpa, and this is probably the only one left that I can find in circulation- all the rest are key dates. After searching through a box of pennies, this one seems to be a good candidate for a 70 S small date. To my eye, it seems like the top of the 7 is in line with the other numbers. LIBERTY is pretty worn, so it is hard for me to tell anything from that. Thank you for any insight that you might be able to provide, as I have not seen one of these in hand before!

the 9 should be pointed inward more for a small date. Keep enjoying time with grandpa!

Thank you for the replies! I thought for sure this was a small date when using the lincolncentresource, but I guess I will have to keep looking. I guess that I started making the 7 and 9 look better than they were. Thanks again!

Yes I understand the small date does have a weak Liberty but if yours is too worn that doesn't help. Nice pics M.K.
