I bought these at the Central States show back in May but I'm just getting around to really looking at them. Each of these is quite rare, with mintages ranging from the 700s to the 4000s. There's an uncirculated version and a silver proof version, and I have the uncirculated ones, which are actually rarer. I can't find any current or completed sales on eBay. Unfortunately each coin has certain damage/unattractive toning, but for $7 each I thought I could hardly go wrong. I just listed one that I have doubles of to see if it will sell and what it might sell for. 1975 new guinea 10 kuna.jpg 1978 new guinea 10 kuna.jpg 1979 new guinea 5 kina.jpg 1979 new guinea 5 kuna.jpg 1980 new guinea 10 kina.jpg 1980 new guinea 10 kuna081.jpg

I have always liked PNG coins as I have traveled there one time.

I have most of these in proof silver verisons from a proof set I bought at the Elmhurst coin shop about 3 years ago.

The 92.5 ones are really very nice.

Yeah, there are a whole bunch of these Franklin Mint proof sets issued for a variety of small countries in the 70s and early 80s that are all pretty nice. I like coins with animals and they often fit this interest.
