So I've been delightfully surprised with the speed that two of my three bracketed submissions are progressing. One of the three is "standard" grading which is supposedly pretty fast, but the other two are "economy" with one being a couple of coins for crossover. So far, two (the crossover and standard grading) are up to "grading" in their system. I recall pcgs taking forever to even acknowledge the package was delivered prior to them starting the process. I just wanted to say that it's refreshing to see such progress in the short amount of time that my coins have been there. I'm still rather hesitant about how strict they are going to be when it comes down to them issuing a grade / details with what I've sent in. Fingers crossed that they aren't too strict. And hopefully they really like that 83-CC Morgan and bump it up a few grades!
Didn't think I'd ever say this, but I signed up for their 'Grading Club'. Being mostly a guy who wants it graded, buys it graded, I thought I'd keep my options open with a grading service I truly respect. I like the brand and highly admire it's founder. I haven't sent anything in yet to be graded, and I don't know if I ever will, but the privilege to send something in to be graded without losing an arm or a leg reigns supreme with me........
The one thing CAC has often been praised for is their turnaround time (with the stickers and now the grading). Best of luck on your sub!
I wonder how long it will take for their services to degrade as their volume increases. If they don't add more graders then the process has to slow down. Adding more graders can speed the process up but then there's always the question about the experience/competence of the new graders.
