Hello all! :) AnericanLandmarksObv-tile.jpg AnericanLandmarksObv.jpg American LandmarksRev.jpg It's going to be a scorcher this week in New England. It's even too hot to eat my favorite, clam "chowda". Anyways, I came up with this idea for a post just now.
I'm calling it "Majestic Monday".... Majestic: Impressive or beautiful in a dignified or inspiring way. That's just one textbook definition.
It can be and I don't want to leave anyone out. Coins, Currency or tokens as well.
I'll go first with a special Silver piece in my collection for its beauty.

Anyone have something with an Elk on it?

As a side note on majestic, the male Elk in Norse mythology, was considered their most sacred animal, nick named Lord of the Forrest. The Elk's antlers were believed to form a connection from Earth (Midgard) to Heaven (Asgard). For that reason, the rune Elhaz, ^ which means Elk, was considered the strongest rune of protection. You'll even see it sometimes on shields in Viking movies or re-enactments.
