Well i figured after 40 years of metal detecting, i wasn’t going to find one, so i better buy one. I know it’s been cleaned and got a couple hits on the edges (for those who like to state the obvious). But for 150 i filled a hole in my collection. I know it’s only in good but i don’t think I could beat the price. I couldn’t be happier, and that a big part of the game. I see comps on the Bay going for around 200 so i figured i could flip it for a little cash if need be.
@ppratt3 Didn't happen often but that Seated Dollar did his job for many a year. I don't see much sign of cleaning and the coin appears to have the honest dove gray appearance I would expect but will take your word for the cleaning. As you say it is your "first" Seated dollar. Have care, Seated coins can be addictive. James
BTW. In days of old, when collectors were bold, they cleaned coins so immensely. Unlike us today, when all we do say, such actions should be done so much Lesly. The actions were done by people so undone, that the results were inconsequential. How happy we live, in a world that's so glib, as to question such a folly....... W Shakethespear
