I've never owned one of these before and for some reason they just grabbed me lately. These are such a great design, 80% at 0.6 oz of silver, feel heavy and very affordable. I'm glad nobody cares about these because I want to buy them cheap! Actually bought several but this graded one just came in today and I photographed it. Both Mexico and Canada had great designs throughout the 20th century.

This particular one is amazing. It looks like a 60s SMS proof from the US mint. Does anybody from Canada know if people were still spending these in the mid 60s? Or did they start hoarding like the US did around that time?

Growing up in Upstate New York, they usually circulated like US in the 60s. Silver value close enough for commerce.

Grandpa got me started on them with these two. Big, beautiful hunks of silver. With those mintages, particularly the George V and George VI years, can you imagine the value if they were Morgans? I think I have almost all of them through 1952 now except for the 47 pointed 7 and maybe one other. (Don't care about the 47 "dot")

Another favorite. I bought this in an old ICCS MS60 holder. It sat around for years before I noticed everything going on with it. It's the SWL (short water lines) variety and clashed on both sides. The reverse clash is so strong you can even see George's eye behind the native's head. A couple years ago I had ANACS slab everything from grandpa and this one as well, now MS62 but forgot to have them attribute the SWL. Oh well, it's obvious.
