Error or post-mint damage?

    My guess would be exposure to acid so PMD in my opinion but I expect one of our error experts will chime in shortly :D

    Let's say we figured it out for the most part. Post Mint Damage in my opinion.

    The best way to clear a concern like this is to look for all the ways this could happen up to the time it was struck. I can't think of any.

    Corrosive material such as an acid or liquid was on the coin for a while. I found a dime in the local coinstar reject bin that was like this one.

    Your coin has the clad layer missing in both sides so something was placed on the coin to remove it.
