    It’s a 1916 DDO. In G-4 it’s a $4500.00 coin.

Using a bright light and an eye loupe, if you tilt the coin around you will find an angle where the numbers appear.

You don't need nickadate to find a dateless 1916 ddo. The Doubling in the feathers shows even in the lowest grade.

I can see the first two digits "19", but I still can't make out the last two yet. I think the very last number is 3, 5, 6, 8, or 9.

That's my second guess. '19 is my third.

It finished soaking two days ago, but I haven't had time to take and upload pictures. I'll do that later today though.

Any more guesses or second guesses? No one got the year right yet...

    '16. '15's are pretty distinct so that's unlikely. If it's not a '14 then I'm outtta guesses.

    It's obviously 1924. :hilarious:
How do you all not see that? :hilarious:

The answer is 1920. The date is clearer in person.

I'll have to try that on the one or two dateless Buffaloes I've found in circulation over the years. Just soak in plain vinegar?

Yes, I use white vinegar. Last time I used a shallow glass bowl and I had to add more vinegar once or twice due to evaporation. I used a small glass jar with a lid for this one.
