same! I never thought I would actually like a nickel of such late model, but I can certainly see the allure with this one! Nice pick
This purchase leaves only three more non-bullion issues in the series for me. One I will not get, the 1995-W, as it is just too expensive. The other two are from the 2011 five coin set, and since all mine are in original government packaging, that means buying the set one day. Of course there are all the new ones, a never ending job or joy.
Just added this to my token collection. Civil War Token. Photo and description courtesy of Stack's Bower's Galleries. "1863 Franz Sigel on Horseback/UNION FOR EVER. Fuld 180/341 e. R-8. White metal. Plain edge. MS-62"
I keep saying I'm laying off buying this summer, yet here I go again. Deep discount lowball bid. Winner again. Time to start selling duplicates.
My son in law is/was a Marine without getting into semantics. Would be a nice Christmas gift. What do those run, roughly? Not sure he would appreciate it but just wondering.
I just got the Proof at $96 plus shipping. The Uncirculated is $94.50. It also comes as a three coin set with a gold coin and a clad half-dollar for just under $1200. The half dollar also comes in proof and uncirculated but they are clad and way over priced at $61/59. Check out the USMint website. there are several Marine Corp coins.
This is one of those coins that I never thought I would own. But sometimes opportunity knocks. 1918/7-D, G-6, with a green bean.
