I understand why. Like all technology, it has its limits for my use.

Maybe AI will buy up all these bogus coins and leave the rest of us out of it. I wonder what happens to the financial system when AI thinks every single thing in circulation is a valuable error or variety. Maybe it will start finding rare and valuable crypto keys too.

Considering that it's a larger consumer of energy than even cryptocurrency I plan to have as little to do with it as possible.

The great thing about AI (sarcasm) is when you ask again and get a completely different answer. I did my "1948 canada dollar" search again just now, and for varieties I got:

"1948 "No Dot": This is the standard version of the 1948 Canadian dollar, where there is no dot beneath the "8" in the date.

1948 "With Dot": This variety features a small dot underneath the "8" in the date. The dot was originally placed by the Royal Canadian Mint to indicate that the coin was made from newly refined, higher-purity silver. This "dot" variety is rarer than the "No Dot" and is highly sought after by collectors." [emphasis mine]

I guess we can all use a chuckle. Except where people actually believe this garbage.

Sounds like AI is based on “If at first you don’t succeed try and try again”. Lol
