    Hello everyone,
My wife and I are in beautiful Puerto Rico on a 1 week vacation.

Our main purpose is to oversee a window replacement project in our family home that started on Monday.

It started well but there was a big problem. The issue is that they found that the removal of the old windows was not as easy as expected. They were installed back in the 1960's so the technique back then was that they were placed deep into the cement so they had to break a lot of the window frame in order to have them taken out.

So because of this the project caused delays and won't be completed before we head back to NYC. My uncle and cousin will have to be here to open and close the house.

I also had one morning to metal detect a beach in Ocean Park, San Juan.

    Here are my finds..

The loop earring is 925 Silver
    The colorful earring is junk
    The ring might be gold

Home improvement, ya gotta love it! At least you are coming home with some treasures.

Window replacements are always fun. I like the new ones you are using. Looks like they will add some nice security.

The window replacements look great. I like the added security features.
It's a shame the installation is trouble. Nice group of nickels. Been a while
since you found that many on one hunt.

I replaced all the windows in a house a while back. The old ones had 20+ nails holding them in. It was a slow process. The new windows only took 4 screws to hold in place.
