Can anyone help me identify which cohen variety this 1809 half cent would be? It’s a decent coin with a rotation to the right on the reverse around 15-20 degrees! You all may not even be able to help because it’s so worn, just figured I’d see, thanks guys
Not sure what a "Coven variety" is. Enlighten me. It looks like a normal date. No major errors to speak of.
I had already corrected it, it’s cohen, it’s a set of die varieties with certain characteristics that can be super rare if you get the right one
I am thinking C-6 based off what I think I see with the alignment. You can always go to heritage and look at examples trying to line up date/curl and leaves on the reverse. No expert by far and this coin probably needs an expert with the wear and tear on the coin. Still nice no matter what.
I think it's the C-6, R-1. Uneven date, 0 low, lowest hair curl directly over gap between 0 and 9. Reverse upper left leaf tip close to halfway between S and O. Known for having varying reverse die rotations.
