1964 Kennedy Half with Die Polishing lines

    This looks like die polishing lines on both sides. Tough to see in the scans. The lines are raised, not scratched into the coin.

    Is this common on Kennedy halves?
    Does it add any value or only to a variety collector? If yes, how much?

    Thats not too uncommon on Kennedy's. Overpolishing is the source of the "no FG" varieties and you can find them polished into the obverse detail too.

    Thanks for the info. I've been digging through a box of pre-65 US coins this afternoon. I found a few more with polishing lines... same on some Roosevelt dimes.
