Yeah, my girl is now hooked for life. I'm on a 4 box skunk streak myself. Tempted to sneak out of work right now and get another box.

I have one just like that I found...... (runs to collection to see if it's still there).

Haha hope it's still there! I weighed it and found out its the silver version of the coin so I'm pretty excited about that! Nothing like finding a silver proof in a roll of quarters.

haha yea it's still there. Congrats! I honestly haven't checked mine to see if it's silver and I've had it for at least 6 years. Time to pull out the scale.

$80 in CWR halves from a bank tonight yielded more of the annoying slit and taped wrappers someone is dumping in my area:vomit:

They are clearly looking for only silver because I kept 10 NIFC, which was better than nothing.:shifty:

I've found quite a few black nickels over the years... I've no idea what causes them to be black, does anyone know?

Probably spent time in oil. In a garage.

I've found a handful of black 1941-P nickels. In different boxes. Weird how it's always 1941s I find black.

Why not just look at the edge?

The $40 in CWR cents yielded the following:

    1 1940-D
    15 40s and 50s dates
    1 Canada GVI dated 1943
    9 dimes

Brutal week for me. 5 skunks in a row. Hopefully I can turn it around this week. Have four more boxes coming in.

I picked up 2 CWRs of halves plus $8.50 loose at a bank off my regular route tonight...FINALLY, I found something: 2, 40%ers!

And most of the other coins were bicentennials, which was interesting.

image.jpg Only did twelve boxes this week. Last branch wasn't able to order my last four boxes, argh!

Six of twelve boxes were skunks.

    Remaining six had the following

    45-40s
    6-90s

I grabbed a few penny rolls last night just to try my luck. Basically about 22 rolls so me and my son could go through them. Half of the rolls yielded pre-81 copper and I got another 7 wheat cents. I have also included a picture of something looking back at me on the 3rd roll :)......

Well I'm royally ripped right now. I just dumped my last four boxes for the week at my credit union and was told after next week all members will pay a 4% fee through the coin machine.

That would mean me paying $1240 a month to sort 64 boxes. I can't logistically dump 64 boxes a month, so next week may be my last roll searches. Sad day for me, but I now join the rest with a way to facilitate high volume searches. Time to re strategize.

Could it be that there *is* a certain threshold beyond which any institution would analyze costs and finally determine that it is not cost-effective to provide free coin counting when CRH'ers dump "too much"?
