Found this waiting for me when I got off work today I've wanted, but did not actively seek, a coin of Trebonianus Gallus for a while now. I finally found a cheap on I liked. The flow lines on the rev. make for an interesting style too. Trebonianus Gallus, Antoninianus. Milan mint, AD 251-253. IMP C C VIB TREB GALLVS AVG, radiate, draped, cuirassed bust right / PIETAS AVGG, Pietas veiled, standing left by altar, raising both hands. RIC 72; RSC 88; Sear (1998) 2790; Sear 9643.
randygeki => congrats on the new T-Bone Gallus (it's a winner) I have a humble example (please forgive my stevex6 photo-effort) I always think it looks like PAX is painting a beautiful green mural on the reverse
Nice coin Randy! I like these 3rd century coins and have a Treb Gallus but cannot find the pics. Cool metal flow lines!
Good one @randygeki ! Very nice! I always like it when the metal flow made them look like a shimmering ghost! Mine is pretty rough... lost its silver! RI Trebonianus Gallus Ant 20mm 3.0g Apollo Lyre RIC 32 RSC 20
