I saw the press release, but within the context the mintage refers to the Washington and Adams release only. The Jefferson MAY be the same, but the press release does not say that.
Prices The aftermarket prices on these coins aren't very impressive in my view. They're running about $625 on eBay for slabbed coins. The 20th anniversary ASE set was a far luckier venture, imo.
Can't argue with you Liberty. I kick myself because I got in too late on those coins. I did get two of the silver sets, but canceled one order because I though they were over-produced, kick myself again.
As of now there is no postponement of the Aug. 16th date and if you read the May 10th press release it does say 40,000 mintage each (across the board) for the first 4 coins this year. There is a good chance next year it could increase for the next 4 http://www.usmint.gov/pressroom/index.cfm?flash=yes&action=press_release&ID=777&formSearchString=First%20Spouse%20Coin&formBool=AND&formYear=ALL&group=1
It took 8-9 months for the ASE silver anniversary set to reach a plateau in price. The gold sets jumped up immediately.
I'm interested in the Jefferson because its a Liberty design. So what would the best way to actually get to buy one be, via phone or website? Also what time of the day do they go on sale?
