Weekend Find AU ?

    Found this beauty over the weekend. ANACS Calls it AU-53 but I think it looks much nicer.

    That's a lot of luster for an AU-53. Nice coin.

    Really nice strike. I would think if it's not MS that AU58 would be the low limit. Well played at AU53.:)

    What's wrong with the Blue Labels ? I have a 1883 With CENTS in a Blue Label holder MS-61

    For the most part, the blue labels are known to be overgraded pretty badly.

    How old is the grade? Older grades tend to be lower.
    This is much nicer than 53, 58 minimum maybe better.

    I personally think that it's an 58 / MS coin, nice luster.
    But again you purchased the coin not the slab.:)
