I got a 2017 Red Book , and put prices on them, they're not for sale to any individual. Ask if you want to see up close images under a 25X pen microscope with an 8.1 mega-pixel camera, or huge 600 dpi scans.
The newer 2017 RED BOOK spiral ring bound soft cover book. Page 431 MISSTRIKES AND ERRORS. I never sold any, but see they sell on other coin sellers sites. Ebay has some note-worthy coins sometimes.
Go see for yourself. Buy a paperback copy of the 2017 RED BOOK for businesses, and on page 431 read it to yourself or share in a group. Real fun. Real easy, really interesting. Facts.
How long have you been collecting coins. Did you just start Error and Variety coin hunting? And I have the 2017 Red Book and a few more going back several years.
I have had error coins and Misstrikes since 1978. I held the only known to exist Aluminum 1974 D Lincoln Cent as well, back then. Finding good reliable info on them has recently started surfacing in reference books, but collectors prices are different than business prices for retail. I know this. I'm only using the RED BOOK as a reference as to what their prices dictate. The hype and jingle of Retail isn't my gig.
I'm aware some VAM dollar coins with off center strikes can range in the 10's of thouands, an oversight in the book, but also into consideration. There's a lot to consider if you try & buy and sell them for fun or profits. Nobody likes losing money.
LOL, thanks for the candor @mynamespat ! I had to of had a way to come up with $1,969 as for the price of loot these days. It coincides with the year I was born, men on the moon, and the coveted $75,000 1969 S MS-63 (or better) ddo Lincoln Cents too. Thanks for the offer though.
ok I was just curious I have never seen one. i figured you might have taken a picture with it as it seems quite rare from the description. im not a penny man so I wouldn't know.
My mom back in 1962 started keeping coins for me and did so till she past in 2007 if i went by the red book 2017 page 431 i should be a 25 million in the back.Hmmm wonder why i'm driving i 2001 Golf. ?
I preferred the more readily available to the novice, instead of squandering money I didn't or don't have. I learned Karate from a book, and have an instructor for Karate as a trusty neighbor. Life's good. Only needed to read a book, and trust no one. The first top left coin would be the 1994-P Double Ear.
It was around 1978 we held it for a short time. As a youngster, I lacked tools (except reading books) and no photos taken, sorry.
