Not an entry for the contest, but I thought I'd contribute a haiku... Yay, Free Coin Friday chrsmat71 rules! Ancient coins do too
"Constantinian... Soldier with standards reverse... Green deposits... Nice!" (I'm entering and that is my kind of OP-plagiarized haiku ;-)
Awesome I ran a haiku contest/giveaway on another coin forum not long before completely abandoning US coins for ancients. I was happily surprised by the quality of some submissions! Examples from that contest: a coin collection passed father son, father son growing cent by cent ... once in a child's hand the dime was spent on candy it rests, collected ... A round golden coin in my palm lies so heavy - the metal of kings. ... à chacun son goût to each his own. Let's collect our heart's desire (Kudos, Chrsmat. I'm not entering but thanks for the fun!)
Didn't enter last time but I'd love to have an ancient pocket piece and this seems like a good opportunity for that. Thanks for the chance.
The winner is @Robert L Sanders congratulations! Send me a PM with your address as soon as you get a chance!
