Is this coin really uncirculated?

This coin is listed for sale on eBay as uncirculated. It is very pretty, though I am in doubt over if it is in fact uncirculated. What do you think?

It looks pretty good. The details are very sharp, and the toning is nice. i would agree with the judgement that it is unc.

I would say that $31 with shipping for that is a nice price

Thank you for the help guys! I'm deciding between that one and this one:

The other one is definitely a better value, but this one is also very pretty [emoji848]

Mack? Don't drink the cool aide......the unholdered specimen is much nicer. :)

I think you're right. I did just buy another very nice graded coin, I should go with the normal one this time given its price and toning[emoji4]

Yes I agree the ungraded is much nicer, and has more eye appeal

I would say yes. Technically it prob has been handled and in circulation,
but it is a spanking nice coin.

Nice color but edges look dingy.

I know everyone's budget is different, but at that price, I'd snap it up in a heartbeat. I'm tempered to myself, but I'm exercising a bit more self control when it comes to purchases outside my focus area.

No, it is not uncirculated, it is at best an AU53. But then the slabbed coin you posted a link to is not uncirculated either, I would say it is at best an AU55. Personally, if I were choosing between the two coins, I would take the 1st one.

The florins are very common. Wait for a true GEM rather than compromising. You can get a near perfect specimen for $100.

Would NGC really have been that far off in their grading?

    I would say Aunc.

the edges took a beating some rough handling although it doesnt look to bad i myself wnt beter shape coins but as a 50 year collector i can be a bit fussy

In my opinion, absolutely. I see coins that are over-graded that badly, by NGC and PCGS both, by that much and more on a daily basis. As I have said many times, it is my opinion that in today's world they over-grade coins about 90% of the time.
