Hello, I'm not a collector of ancients but I bought these because I thought it was a pretty good deal ($60 for all of them). Can you help me ID them? Three seem to say Maximianus and the other I believe is Diocletian. All the coins are the size of a British half penny/U.S. half dollar or a few MM smaller.
Doug Smith has an article on identifying these types - google "Doug Smith" and "ancient coins" - once you find them go through the articles which I think are in date order. It is the best resource for not just this issue but others aspects of the hobby. This is a very good, if not amazing price,
