https://www.ebay.com/itm/2055828725...usJNgthwnINM=|tkp:Bk9SR_CCor34ZQ&LH_Auction=1 I am sorry for the excruciatingly long link but something just looks off to me about this coin, specifically the rim reeds being so well-defined. What do you think?
Possibly genuine but the presence of the dreaded green gook and harsh cleaning is a hard pass for me.
I pulled my large cents album because I was unsure, then I checked my coin guide. It appears to be genuine in my opinion. Good luck.
There is something not right about this piece. The dentiles don’t look right. The cleaning obvious, but this general look is the type of thing you see on other copper counterfeits. I would not recommend this piece.
This coin sold for $215.43 a few minutes ago. The rim reeds and the eye are what make me think this is counterfeit; it looks to be about fine details, probably F12. I'm by no means an expert on these things but shouldn't the eye be a little more worn? Also, I just...... no. I still am skeptical, wouldn't touch this with a 39 and a half foot pole until I got to see it for myself.
