These Barber Half Dollars were all graded the same. Each by a different service. What is the grade?

Not my series but a quick look in my Make the grade reference would suggest F-15. James

I went VF-20 before I read any comments. I was leaning F-15 but just felt they were a bit nicer than that.

Same here. I bounced around and settled in the middle. They could easily be F15 or VF25.

Bit of trivia - a new reverse hub was discovered a few years ago, I think by a member here (@justafarmer ?), introduced in 1901. But 1902-S was all from the old hub. The S in E Pluribus was moved closer to the U, among other very minor differences, which you can see here if you compare it with the 1909-O.

F15, In my experience they don't like weakness in LIBERTY for VF grades.

That said, the 1909-O clearly looks VF to me.

I agree with Lehigh96. whatever grade was made of the 3 the 1909-o is a VF 20. James

I actually thought I was being quite conservative there. Proves how well I can grade Barber halves, eh?

But seriously, this one is a good lesson for me on grading these, especially if I buy a coin in F to VF, since the price jump is so big from a 15 to a 20.
