Here's another seated liberty type for my typeset. This time is the dime. I can't say this is amongst my favorite designs, but there is a certain charm to the seated liberty nonetheless. Please feel free to share any relevant coins you feel like sharing.
Gobrecht's original artwork was better. The mint brought in Robert Ball Hughes to redo it, perhaps because his modified design resulted in longer die life. It sure wasn't based on beauty.
A seated dime is my bucket lister in metal detecting. Just Barber dimes/ one Barber Quarter found for Silver that is.
