1909-S Lincoln Wheat Cent

    I believe this coin to be genuine. Do you agree?

    Obviously a details grade coin.

    I’m no expert, but I would think it’s genuine. Too bad the VDB has worn off!

    I am not an expert either. But the first thing I noticed is serious wear on everything but the mint mark. Just my observation.

    I can't tell if you're joking. 1825000 1909-S cents were minted without the VDB. It's still more valuable than most of the other S wheat cents though.

    I would agree that it looks like a genuine cent. It's got some faint woodgrain toning.

    The lighting does make a difference. I withdraw my observation and go with genuine.
