Heading out on a road trip with a destination of Warren, VT. Figured this would be the best place to check for any recommendations on coin shops to visit (or avoid) in the area. Not planning on much of a detour en route for anything along the way, but once there (in VT) I'll be happy to visit any shops you might recommend. Thanks!

I also have permission to metal detect the property, and was told to keep all the nails/construction debris I find. Should be an interesting trip!

Well, I did visit the Bennington Battle Monument when I was a lad. That makes me 'part Vermont' in spirit......:)

We've never actually visited that, but we found the best restrooms (at the rest area) in the whole state by there. It's a mainstay of our trip home at this point

Nothing sustains you more than a good backup plan and a rest area most amiable. God, I remember the trip as if it was yesterday. My grandparents lived in the town of Peterburg NY. It's just a hop, skip and away from Bennington as it lies just on the border of Vermont. I most remember the penmanship of the Allan's in the documents displayed. These were no mere back woodsman........

Sounds like a great trip! Say hello when you drive through Connecticut. ;)
I can check for ones in route to your destination if you want.
I would strongly recommend going very slow detecting and lower your recovery speed. Might help. What machine are you using?

That’s one of the eight states I’ve never made it to. Have a great trip!

Been there several times. Twice as an adult. You have to get some maple syrup or candy when visiting. :hungry:
A whole different lifestyle up there, that's for sure. Nature at it's best. New Hampshire is nice also. ;)

Puro’s in Rutland is pretty good, or at least was. I’ve only been twice with the last time being more than 5 years ago. So I’m not sure how the shop is now. Might be worth a stop if you’re passing through or nearby Rutland.
