What's up, everybody? My first coins of 2017 have arrived. Yay! Both come from one of our very own. First up, from Philippi, Macedonia. It was probably issued under Claudius or Nero. Being inspired by Roman Collector to look into coins that the Apostle Paul might have encountered in his travels, I decided to look into getting some for my collection. The final coin was a very generous gift! I think I've narrowed down the attribution to Hendin 1144. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. You know great I am at getting the coin details right. Feel free to post your coins, related or not. I just like looking at them because you guys have super awesome collections! Thanks, Erin
Good coins to start off the year on. Don't get too addicted next thing you know you've got a hundred.
Thanks everybody! I'm really happy with them. No worries, icerain. My bro and I are already hooked! Although, coin purchases will be fewer and far between for us this year. My brother is saving for college in the fall. I have 3 older lizards that may need some trips to the vet. Erin
Erin => hey, congrats on blasting-out of the blocks so early!! ... looks like you're already off and running (could be a big year for you/you-guys)
Leapin' lizards I love em' too. I don't own any currently but I always check out the amphibians and reptiles at PetSmart when I stop in for supplies.
Lizards are totally boss. I have four of them. If you ever want to get one, stay away from big chain pet stores. There are a ton of reputable breeders online. I want a snake. Erin

Yikes, Erin...a snake? Then you'll have to start raising mice, and then it's just a slippery slope (sort of like getting into ancients ). Steve
Love the coins, Alegandron! It totally is. You can never have too many reptiles! Plus, who couldn't love a face like this? Erin
We have some cool little blue lizards that like to hang out near my front steps in the summer. I think they're called skinks.
My 5 year old grandson managed to do something I've tried to do but always failed: catch a gecko with his bare hands. He wanted to bring it home, but my son talked him out of it. Steve
Thanks Ancient Aussie! I got a crazy deal on it too. I love skinks. I have a Schneider's skink nAmed Mapoleon. I'm on my phone, so I can't post a pic of him. I will tonight. You have a great grandson, Steve! The only time I was able to catch a gecko was when my golden got loose. I caught him, but his tail fell off because he thought I was going to eat him. Erin
Erin => that's a very cool pet ... he looks very happy Yah, pets fricken rock, eh? (nothing makes me feel more comfy, than hangin' with my pet-friends ... 100% on your side ... unconditionally) => amazing (I'm sorry, but they're soooo fricken awesome!!) ahaha => it makes me smile, every single time!! (Larry is such a sweet girl)
