Never saw one quite like this. I'm kinda in awe! Need any info I can get. Rarity, value, etc. It is a bit circulated. seems like it happened between printings
Pretty sure somebody just put a rubber stamp on the bill, similar to the one that's on the back. The stamp ink didn't adhere very well to the metallic ink on the bill, so the result is what you see here.
Believe me nowadays you could pretty much make anything a rubber stamp. These are mainly marked overseas. Check blog link for more marks. https://justteejay.wordpress.com/2012/02/21/more-chops-stamps-and-marks-on-currency/
Looked there did not see anything that even closely resembles the marks on this note. And definitely doesn't explain how it got under the printing on the note. If you look closely you can see the black under the gold. Look at the bottom left of the first letter, you can see even the small cursive gold letters over the black.
Really? Just look at the stamping of this $100 posted today https://www.cointalk.com/threads/100-bill-star-error.289680/
I would recommend that the OP keep an open mind to the opinions of the members posting here. Collectively we have seen many notes with similar inkings, and if you really think it is a legitimate error note then send it to a third party for authentication.
You are not paying attention. Not the star the other stamp on the other side. Your bill is not an error
I know these stamps are not errors. I have seen hundreds of them myself. My note just appears to be printed over the stamp. Seems everyone has decided. I concede.
