1982 quarter no reeded edges and slightly larger than regular quarter

    Easy answer . . . The Chinese don't make the kind of wages Americans do. Most factory workers in China are lucky if they pull down $1.50 per hour . . .

    Ya I got it in my change and noticed it and kept it! I figured it was weird and I like weird so why not! Would have been a bonus if it were worth something or even real for that matter, but guess I'll just have to be happy having a dodgy coin in my collection so lol

    I've no way of weighing it but I might bring it to a coin specialist and see if they know anything or can weigh it! Either way at worst it will be a novelty item to have!

    The portrait and the edge.
    Speed dialing the treasury dept.

    On the bright side, as a curiosity it must be worth more than a quarter.

    Silver bullion? Probably not, but worth investigating.

    Either way, I'd put it in a flip and hold on to it. It only cost you 25 cents and it's a cool novelty.

    It's probably cadmium or lead or something equally as toxic.

    Yeah I have one myself if you don't see it you can't understand it..I live in Virginia and I just found one just like yours today... My question is is it real or is it counterfeit it kind of looks like it might be counterfeit..
