    A neat granary token valued at 6 Kreuzers from Limbach and Breitenbach. 40456.jpg
    A city council wine token from Cologne, minted until 1796 with a frozen date. A copper plug in the center to thwart counterfeiting.

    Silver 5 Mark casino token from Baden-Baden. There are a range of denominations, the higher ones struck in gold!

    This British token is made of silver. It skirted with the law because it has a value of "12 Pence" marked on it. British government officials complained about pieces like this, but the trouble was the government was not supplying enough coins to run the economy.

    This piece, from the same era, is a British Bank token. It was what one might call semi-official.
