Hello all. It's "Lucky Large Cent Lounge 2025!". Post your Large Cents as well.... Thanks for sharing and viewing this thread. I have shown this before. It's special because it was my first large cent and a metal detecting find as well.... 1847 Large, No errors.
As many of you may know, these are probably my favorite of all the US coins and I have a near complete variety set that can be seen here.. https://www.cointalk.com/media/albums/the-2020-20-large-cent-set.1855/ At this time My favorite of all my LCs was a recent win from VaultBox series X. So here she is 1857 Large Date
FR-2. I didn't hesitate when this popped up on the dealer's website. It has a green bean, a lettered edge and is noted as being Sheldon 11 C
Mine, like a lot of Coins in my collection, has a lot of "history"! Both of these are very worn, but if they hadn't been, they would not have fit in my "budget". I wanted one from the 1790's, then I wanted one from 1800. I've several more, random dates from 1803 - 1856. But I don't have pictures of most of them.
I used to have a complete dansco album of large cents - all except the 1793 liberty cap and just never could fine one. Anyway all were sold and they are on this forum somewhere. I am now down to 5 only. No picture of the 1850, but it will be replaced. And the worst picture is the highest graded at 64+. All the rest are AU.
I don’t really collect them but.. In the LCS junk bin, they leave with me 1839 Booby Head no line under cent variety
